Damon Schechter

Damon is an entrepreneur, and investor in disruptive logistics technology. He is the founder of Olam Capital, which seeds science and innovation experiments that can reinvent supply chains. Previously, Schechter was founder and CEO of Shipwire, a cloud-based platform to power a global logistics network. For more than a decade, the team and technology rivaled and bested Amazon's own fulfillment offerings. The platform was recognized as the industry's best supply chain management solution, best technology workplace, and visionary in Gartner's magic quadrant for logistics. Today, more than 10,000 businesses worldwide use 200+ shopping carts, marketplaces and ERP connectors, to send orders to Shipwire's network of warehouses across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Shipwire was acquired by Ingram Micro in 2013, which was in turn acquired by CMA CGM in 2022, to form the fourth-largest global contract logistics provider. In 2002, Damon authored Delivering the Goods: The Art of Managing Your Supply Chain (Wiley). The book became a bestseller in English (2003), Thai (2006) and Russian (2008). Damon is actively involved in the Young President's Organization (YPO), and the Boy Scouts of America. He holds a BA in economics and a MS in product design engineering from Stanford University.
